The Other Solution
Prefect Giorgio Mason is called to the scene of an apparent suicide on the perimeter of Sector S-386-4, one of the gated Sectors where ethnically-pure, white residents have isolated themselves from the Others. But, beyond the sweep of the searchlights, the shadows hide a terrible secret.
The corpse is that of Alex, son of Gabriel Franklin – the inventor of the electrically-charged, steel pillars which guard the Sector – a man who seems to be haunted by secrets of his own. And his friend and colleague, Hendriksen – Head of Sector Security - insists that Mason concludes his investigation quickly.
But when Alex’s ex-girlfriend, Cessie, is killed twelve hours later, and an email virus crashes the Sector’s network, Mason is prepared to risk everything to discover the truth.
